2/3 and 6/9 are equivalent fractions. They represent the same amount of pizza.
If you cut one pizza into three equal pieces, and a second pizza into nine equal pieces, you would discover that two pieces from the first pizza and six pieces from the second pizza are the same size, the same amount of pizza.
You can recognize equivalent fractions quickly by asking yourself "can I take the simpler fraction and multiply the top and bottom numbers by the same number to get the other fraction?" In this case, 2 times 3 is 6 and 3 times 3 is 9, giving us 6/9. I could also take 2/3 and multiply both pieces by four, giving me 8/12, another equivalent fraction, etc.
