Is it possible there are 4 identical cubes in the figure? (Since you may be unable to post the diagram/figure.)
In any case, you solve problems like this by simplifying the question.
Solve for one of the cubes and apply that for all the cubes.
Let's assume the cubes are connected by their faces; only 5 faces of each cube is accessible. There are 20 faces total, (4)(5)=20.
Each face, therefore, has an area of 81cm2, 1620cm2 /20= 81cm2 (the base area of each cube)
This may possibly be the answer.
