First they want f(6) , so we replace 6 with x in the f(x) function.
f(6) = 3/2(6) +4
f(6) = 3/2(6/1) +4
f(6) = 18/2 +4
f(6) = 9 +4
f(6) = 13
Next we replace replace x in the g(x) function with 6.
Since g(x) = -4 for all x values. g(6) = -4.
f(6) + g(6) =
13 + -4
9
so f(6) + g(6) = 9
