Finding Probabilities

Question

Let z be a standard normal random variable. Find P(0.48 < z < 2.3 and z > 1.9).

 

I tried to do them both separately and then putting them together but I ended up with the wrong answer. Help?!

When you "put them together" did you add them?  To obtain the probability of two independent events occurring, you need to multiply.
