Let's look at a smaller number of points to see if we can develop a pattern. So if you have 2 points, 1 line can be drawn that contains two points. If you have 3 points, 3 lines can be drawn that contain 2 points. If you have 4 points, 6 lines can be drawn. If you have 5 points, then 10 lines can be drawn. So the amount of lines that connect two points of an n number of points is basically the amount of sides a polygon with n sides has plus the amount of diagonals a polygon with n sides has. This would be (n^2-n)/2. So if n=35, we get 595
