2x + 2y = 6

Get the equations in y=mx+b  form, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

 

 

y = -x + 3       eq1

 

 

2x + 2y = 6

 

2y = -2x + 6

 

  y = -x + 3         eq2

 

 

Notice that these equations are the same line.  If you plug in any value of x, you will get an infinite value of y.  The system has an infinite number of solutions.
