Method 1.
x = amount of 5% solution
30-x = amount of 20% solution
.05x + .2(30-x) = .1*30
Solve for x,
x = 20 liters
30-x = 10 liters
Method 2.
Quick way: Using difference proportion.
The amount of 5% alcohol soltion = [10/(5+10)]*30 = 20 liters
The amount of 20% alcohol soltion = [5/(5+10)]*30 = 10 liters
