The tried and true way is to write continuously. First remove all judgement and even grammar rules from your rough draft because you need to get something on paper first. After you've done what I like to call a stream of consciousness writing dump, you can take a breath and even a break then come back to the writing for edits. Sometimes writers can't get very far because they want to have the material already perfected in their mind before it's on paper. Instead put something on paper first judgement free then after stepping away from the material for a bit: go back for editing, revising, and adjusting. You can continue this process in chunks and eventually complete a work you can be proud of.
