So in the case of this problem we know that the chain swings back and forth (one cycle) every 0.83 seconds. This can also be called the period In other words, we have 1 cycle occurring every 0.83 seconds.
To get frequency in Hz we want the number of cycles per second.
So now in order to get the frequency we can use the formula, Frequency = (1 / Period).
Frequency = ( 1 / 0.83s)
Frequency = 1.205 Hz
