Can import drawings and paintings to later use my animation software for a Toon Boom project?

I have drawings of characters, and paintings of backgrounds I want to use in Toon Boom Harmony. Is importing it easy to to or am I wasting my time?

Yes you can use many different types of art for your animation. You can paint a background then scan it in and import it into Toon Boom Harmony. Scan your painting with a scanner for the best results if you can. Your image would be imported either as an

1. original bitmap (can't be altered)
2. Toon Boom bitmap (can be altered with drawing tools)
3. Toon Boom Vector. (can be painted and edited)

If you are drawing on your iPad, such as Procreate, you may want to draw different elements on different layers, and then export as a layered PDF to then import each layer separately.

Background layers that look more painterly, have a nice effect in 2D animation. You can cut out different elements to create a parallax effect.
