Solving & Graphing Quadratic Equation

t=7v^2+300 represents an ecryption equation, where t is the time ( in seconds ) required to encrypt n, a desired number of bits. 

(note: This relationship is of the same form as many of the quadratic you will see in this chapter, in particular y=7x^2+300. As a result, the methods you use to solve similar quadratic would apply here.) 

 

If it take 1200 seconds to encrypt a value, how many bits are encrypted?

                                     t = 7v^2 +300      SO:  LIKE AN ALGEBRA PROBLEM.....

                                     t= 7v^2 + 300  =0

                                                                               -300           -300

                                                      ________________________________

                                           7v^2         =   -300

                                                                __________________________

 

                                                                    7                                    7          -----> Divide both sides by7

 

 

                                                                   V^2              =            -42.86

 

 

                                                                    V= SQRT    (-42.86)
