Find one positive and one negative coterminal angle of -650 degrees.

Here's what I did:

Positive: Negative:

-650 + 360 = -290 -650 - 360 = -1010

-2909 + 360 = 70

When I looked at the answer key, I got the positive coterminal correct but the negative coterminal was -290.

Once I got a negative/positive number should I have stopped adding or subtracting 360?

Hi Rawda, -1010 degrees is a coterminal angle, but I would double check the instruction, is it looking for a coterminal angle between -360 and 360 degrees? If so, that is why they added 360 instead. Your negative coterminal angle is -290 degrees in that instance and your positive would be 70 degrees, so yes, from that perspective, you can stop adding once you find one. Let me know if that helps clarify!
