If the equation is to factor 10x^2-21, the negative sign will allow you to not include the addition sign which will cause the problem to look as I have put above.
This equation is non-factorable.
There are no numbers that can multiply evenly into 10 and 21 in order to factor out a greatest common factor for starting.
