Hi there,
To find the dot product in this case, you simply multiply the x, y, and z components (in this case there are no z (k) components) with each other and sum them.
(1*-2)+(-8*1)= -10.
* The other case would be to multiply the magnitudes of the u and v vectors along with the cosine of the angle in between the vectors (which was not given here).
