Since the divisor is a quadratic, you cannot use synthetic division.
P(x) = x3 -5x + 5
Q(x) = (-5x + 10) / (x2 + x -1)
If you don't get the above, please ask for more help.

asked 11/06/23Two polynomials P and D are given. Use either synthetic or long division to divide P(x) by D(x),
and express the quotient P(x)/D(x) in the form P(x)D(x) = Q(x) + R(x)D(x)
.P(x) = x5 + x4 − 6x3 + 5x + 5, D(x) = x2 + x − 1
Since the divisor is a quadratic, you cannot use synthetic division.
P(x) = x3 -5x + 5
Q(x) = (-5x + 10) / (x2 + x -1)
If you don't get the above, please ask for more help.
