(1) Solve for the y direction first: y-yo=voyt - 0.5at2
y-y0=-0.025 m
voy=0
a=-9.81 m/s2 (gravity)
-0.025= 0-0.5(9.81)t2
-0.025=-4.905t2
t=0.071 sec
(2) Now for x, x-x0=voxt or vox= (x-xo)/t
x-xo=0.058m and "t" is the answer from part 1:
vox=0.058/0.071=0.81 m/s

The second part does not seem to be correct but I do not understand why...is there another equation you can use to solve the second part? The equation you used seems unfamiliar to me.09/27/23
