Distance = (Rate)(Time), so time = distance / rate

Time on bus + time on train = 3.5

Let x = distance travelled by bus.

Then 160 - x = distance on train

x / 30 + (160 - x) / 85 = 3.5

85x + 30(160 - x) = 8925

55x = 4125

x = 75

Time travelled by train = (160 - x) / 85 = 1 hour
