How does the formation of rainbows relate to the refraction and dispersion of light?

When it rains, light hits the rain droplet which refracts against the water and enters the droplet. At this point the light is then dispersed into a color spectrum representing the seven different colors. Then the light is then refracted outside the rain droplet and into the air where the rainbow can be seen
