Hi Olivia--
Draw two rectangles, one bigger than the other.
Label the sides of the smaller one with 6 cm on each of the two short sides, and 8 cm on each of the two longer sides.
Label the other one the same way, but instead of 6cm, write "6 x 4.5 cm" and instead of 8 cm, write "8 x 4.5 cm"
Now you can figure out the new length and width, and after that you multiply l x w for the area, and you add up the 4 sides for the perimeter.
(ok, here's one more hint: 6 x 4.5 = 27, and 8 x 4.5 = 36)
