The MMS magnitude M of an earthquake with energy S is given by the formula M=2/3log(SS0).
Earthquake A had an MMS magnitude of 5.5. The energy released in Earthquake B was 430 times the energy in Earthquake A. What was the MMS magnitude of Earthquake B? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

16.5 = 2 log S0
8.25 = log S0
108.26 = S0
480(108.26) = 480 S0
(102.68)(108.26) = 480 S0
1010,94 = 480 S0
MMM = (2 log 1010,94) / 3
