whats the difference between the projection of a vector on another vector and vector along direction of another vector?

Let v and u be two vectors with angle θ between them. Then "projection of v on u" is a vector with the same direction as u and magnitude |v|cos(). While "a vector along direction of u" is any vector with the same direction of u and any magnitude.
