HTML can be useful for creating text elements and displaying output, however HTML is not typically considered a programming language. It lacks the necessary components for creating and manipulating data structures and logic. I would recommended using a programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for the Create Performance Task. If you need help with any of these programming languages, I will be more than happy to help.

asked 04/10/23AP CSP Create Task - HTML
Hi!
I was working on my AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) Create Performance Task and saw that it did not allow HTML as a coding language for the task (source: https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-computer-science-principles/course/frequently-asked-questions/what-programming-language-recommended-students-use-complete-create-performance-task).
I was wondering if it would be acceptable to use HTML solely for creating text elements and program display, while all the program logic remained in JavaScript (conditionals, functions, etc.).
Thanks so much!
