Well, Bob H., that depends on what you consider as bouyant force. If it's the entire upward component of the external pressure, then take the volume * density * grav. constant. But, I suspect, here "empty" means filled with air? In that case, the NET bouyant force is zero -- the weight of the air inside equals the bouyant force of the air outside.
