The problem is asking for the length of the diagonal.
Diagonal = D = √(W2+L2)
So you need to find W and L and then use those values to evaluate D.
(2L-4)L= 184
2L2-4L-184 =0
Use the quadratic formula to find L and then W. Then find D.
