Now we put in the values so that we can find the area:

A = 1/2(40 + 160)60

A = 1/2 * 200 * 60

A = 100 * 60

A = 6000

 

Now that we have the area, we can find the number of bags needed:

6000 / 600 = 10

 

So we need 10 bags of fertilizer.
