In this problem, the # hours and therefore speed that a racer travels is extra unnecessary information and not needed to solve for total # miles. This is because they tell you that 1 lap is 2.5 miles.
You can set up the problem as follows:
# miles traveled in 200 laps =
2.5 miles x 200 laps
1 lap
You can do the math to get the # total miles traveled.
