On the table 1st question how many forces are acting on the 7 kg mass there is two forces acting on this mass the first one is the gravity force which is the weight which is equal (m.g)and the other is the tension in the string which is upwards- For the second question in the table the forces acting on the 10 kg mass will it be W the weight and tension on the strength the first one is down Ward and the other one is up Ward-The system is not balanced because the weight forces is not equal and so we expect a rotation towards the 10 kg mass.
Mass of the system = 7+10=17kg.—————
Net force = w1-w2= (m1 .g) - (m2 . g)
m1 =10kg ,m2=7kg.—————-
Acceleration = net force/system mass—————-

Use the equation of Newtons second low for any of the two masses to find the tension
w1 -t =m1 x a system

W-T=ma——— (10x9.8) -T =(10x 1.7)— T=-72 N—— Negative sign means up12/15/22

Thank you for your explanation. I got everything else correct except the tension. When I calculated it, I got 560 N (but it's wrong). Can you help me out more with the tension?12/14/22
