Hello my name is Christine W.
Hello Golf,
I would like to try to help answer your questions about finding a swimming pool you could attend.
1. For the first question what you would want to do is look online or call the local areas of which you will be studying. You may also want to look online to find out if there are any pools in the area. Let the person you speak with know that you will be studying and that you are not very familiar with the area. Ask if they have any suggestions on the closest location to a public swimming pool that you can attend or join.
2. The next question you will want to ask them is what time the pool opens to the public, and also what time it closes. Make sure you ask if they have any exceptions as far as holidays, and when the weather is bad as to how they decide on the times it is open.
3. Ask if the pool membership also has any other features such as a sauna, hot tub, or fitness room, as some of these pools offer other types of memberships as well.
4. As far as payments, ask how they go about billing you to join the pool. If you pay daily, weekly, or if you pay each month. Explain to them you will be studying and will be in the area for three months. You can ask if they have a payment plan or monthly plan you can join, as far as a pool membership.
5. After you find a pool and contact someone, explain to them that you are a student and are currently staying in that area for three months while you study. Let them know you are interested in joining their pool and tell them you know some places; such as movie theaters for example have discounts for students. Ask an employee or manager at the pool if they participate in giving discounts to students who obtain a student ID.
I hope I was able to help you, good luck with your studies and I hope you can find a pool membership.
