Hi Mel since there is more than one application to “linear modeling” and you have not indicated what you mean by “the linear model” I would ask are you using a particular Linear Model in your class? I ask because as I hope you are aware there is Direct Variation, Slope Intercept, Linear Regression to name a few? You should examine your data to see if there is a clearly defined consistent slope, m if not then another model like linear regression could be tried next.

using TI-84 LinRegTTest app


regression linear equation is

y=242.06+15.51t


solve for 2007-2023=16 years


y(16) =242.06+15.511(16) =490.24 beds
