Hi Katelyn, A unit vector is a vector with a length of 1. So you're being asked to find a vector in the same direction as the one given, but with a length of 1. So, you should find the length of the given vector, and divide the vector by that length. For example, for v = 3i + 4j the magnitude (length) is 5. So dividing both components of the vector by 5 you get u = (3/4)i + (4/5)j
