You can use the change-of-base formula for logs.
Keep in mind - log 55 is the same thing as log10 55. With that said.
log100055 = log10(55)/log10(1000)
You're told what log(55) is. Also, log10(1000) = 3 because 103 = 1000
So log100055 = log10(55)/log10(1000) = 1.74/3
