While I am not completely clear on the question, I think you are trying to determine if the raft scene in Huck Finn is "effective". I don't think your teacher is looking for setting or character analysis here. Instead, I think that this scene is important because it highlights one of the most debated topics of the time period in which the story is set. Some people see the raft as an allegory for slaves who are trying to escape slavery. So, if these are your choices, then I would choose "Effective, because it includes the statement that it is "important," which could be argued. Effective, because it specifically mentions what Huck and Jim discuss during the important scene. " It most closely describes the reasons the scene is important, therefore, effective.
