Suppose that a pwd ramp that has a 3° slope must be built against a flight of stairs of 5 meters high that is beside a sidewalk of 7 meters high. The standard size of wheelchair width is 0.66cm. What should be the length and the height of the ramp.

Also, Bryan, the problem is worded oddly. THe "built against a flight of stairs" is odd. Is this from the book, or from something your teacher made him/herself? I suspect your teacher has worded this in a very confusing way. Do you find the teacher difficult to understand?

I don't find the teacher difficult to understand, I think "built against a flight of stairs" means beside the stairs? because all the pwd ramps I have seen are close to or beside stairs. Thank you for your response :)
