Suppose you are the dam administrator if it currently holds 6.3 x 10⁶ liters of hydrologists project that the monsoon raind will add another 1.3 x 10⁶ liters by the end of the monsoon season, do you have to release water as the monsoon season ends? Explain.

So to convert 8,5 x 10⁸ cubic meters into liters, multiply it by 1000 (or 10³)

(8,5 x 10⁸) x 10³ = 8,5 x (10⁸ x 10³) = 8.5 x 10¹¹ liters (this is again how much water the dam can safely hold)

If there currently 6.3 x 10⁶ liters and you expect to add another 1.3 x 10⁶ liters then:
