 2x -2/7x+24=0. So (2- 2/7)x can be rewritten as (14-2)/7 x which is 12/7x.

So 12/7x+24=0. To get x alone subtract 24 on both sides

12/7x= -24. Then, divide 12/7 on both sides. Since we are dealing with a fraction here, multiply both sides by its reciprocal and the reciprocal of 12/7 is 7/12. So 12/7 * 7/12 x =1x and -24(7/12) = -14.

So x= -14.

1) 2x + 24 = 2/7x      (subtract 2/7x from both sides of the equation)

2) 2x - 2/7x+24 = 0   (Combine like terms 2x-2/7x = 14x/7 -2/7x = 12/7x or easier written 12/7(x)

3)12/7(x) + 24 = 0    (Get the variable alone, so subtract 24 from both sides of the equation)
