How can I find the net change of f(x)=3x-2; x=2,x=3

rate of change from x=2 to 3 is

(f(3)-f(2))/(3-2) = (3(3)-2 - (3(2)-2))/1 = 9-2 - (6-2) = 7 -4 = 3

3 is the slope of the function = rate of change = a constant for a linear function

= the derivative = f'(x) = 3
