Physics question about gas pressure

Question

We have a closed frustoconical container filled with compressed gas. Are the forces that the gas is exerting equally pressing the flat sides of the container (bottom and top)? If not, then why does the container not acquire the acceleration towards the direction of the greater force?

Gas pressure is equal in all directions including top, bottom and lateral side of conical container. The container would accelerate upward if it is light and acceleration force due to gas pressure can overcome force of gravity. A gas filled balloon rises up, a common example.
