Hydrostatic pressure of pool water

What is the pressure of the water (psi) when the drain opens to allow it to empty ?

It is hydrodynamics problem. To solve it we need to use Bernoulli’s principle and continuity equation. If we know the area of the pool or radius of the drain opening, then it could be solved. Just curious: where did you get 3 m from? If this is known, then the problem could be solved.

I made it up as an example. Also, little information is given, so I had to assume that the aperture is small and the pool area is large... Approximately static pressure.

Thanks. I believe that the problem is incorrect from the very beginning. Hydrostatic pressure is just product of density, acceleration of free fall and height of the water in the pool. But when the drain is open, we are talking about the fluid in motion, hence about the gauge pressure of moving fluid.
