Find the area of the polygon formed when these points are connected:

A: (3,7)

B: (3,3)

C: (7,3)

D: (7,7)

If you plot the points, this problem is pretty easy:

The polygon is a square. I'm sure you can calculate the area of a square.

It turns out that, when you plot the points, you have a plain old square with sides of 4 units (7 - 3). So the area is 4² , or 16 square units.
