I hope you are doing well!
To find the inverse of a function, the best way to do it is to switch the x and the y in f(x).
If
f(x) = 8x + 9
You can switch it so that it would look like this:
x = 8y + 9
Now isolate y algebraically
x = 8y + 9
x - 9 = 8y
(x-9)/8 = y
Now you can rewrite y as f-1(x)
f-1(x) = (x-9)/8
