Torque is a word for a rotational Force. Torque is F*distance from the axis of rotation (hinges). If you try this by pushing on different distances across the door you see that the force you need gets less the farther you are pushing from the hinges.
Torque=Force *Distance from hinges.
Torque = 10.4 N * 1.25 m = 13 N*m
When you tighten a bolt to a torque spec. in the US, .communication of the spec is in- lb in or ft-lbs.
