asked 03/30/22A poorly designed transformer has a power factor of 0.749. If the input power is 1570 W and the output voltage is 169 kV, what is the output current?
Clarity help.
This problem was from my past homework assignment. I got the correct answer of 0.0070 A. I am given the power factor, input power, and the voltage.
How I did this problem:
because I=PV, substituting I did
I = (1570*0.749W)/169000 V = 0.007 A
I know I got the question right but I wanted to ask if this is the proper equation or did I just get lucky?
Thank you!

Power factor derates input power.
I can’t tell you if it was luck or not on your part but you did put the de reading factor in the right place bravo!
