Hi Jennifer J.,
I sent an unmanned probe which landed on one of the poles of the planet's rotation, and measured the gravitational force acting on a known mass at several different time points, after various sorts of calibration to avoid influences by radiation, electrical, and magnetic effects. Several different time points will help sort out any issues from perturbations from orbiting moons, for example. I did that because I'm always a little scared of things called "X"; they can be so variable, you know!
