The definition of politics, as I was told by my instructor, was politics is the when, how, and where resources are to be allocated. I admit that is a simple answer, but is probably the most accurate answer I have ever heard. Now, government is the body that determines when, how, and where resources are allocated. So to say that politics and governance are not related, seems to be false; since you must have one to have the other. Kinda like which came first the chicken or the egg.
