The hydrostatic equation is P(z) = P(0) + ρgz where z is the depth of the liquid and ρ is the density of the liquid. P(0) in this case is atmospheric pressure at the top of the tank. Just plug in: z is in meters and ρw = 1000 kg/m3 and the Ps are in Pascals.

A water tank is filled with water to a height of 8 m. Compute the total pressure at the bottom of the container. Given the density of water is 1000 kg m and the atmospheric pressure is 1.0 x 10^5 Pa.
