Question

Give the sine function that has a period of 3, shifted to the left by 1, down by 5, and has an amplitude of 2.

my answer is y=2sin[2pi/3(x+1)]-6. Is this correct?

Where is the 6 coming from? I think you want to subtract 5 at the end to shift down by 5.

y=2sin[2pi/3(x+1)]-5

Otherwise it looks good.
