How would you disprove this statement by contradiction that "there is a set S where every subset of S is also an element of S"

Well suppose statement is true.

Then consider the empty set.

The empty set is a subset of any set, so it is a subset of S.

But it cant be an element of S, because the empty set contains no elements.

Therefore statement can't be true.
