Sorry, question is not clear. "force used to overcome"? Perhaps you mean frictional force; that would make sense and enable a solution. If so, first figure total gravitational work done = mgh; next, figure work done solely against friction = 400 N * 50 m (assume the 50 m figure is measured on the diagonal?). Add those together, that's the total energy input (work done by the engine); work output = gravitational work done on the mass. Divide appropriately to find efficiency of the operation)..
