PHYSICS DOUBT -

Can power be negative?

Like, if we are lifting a box weighing 10 kg above the ground to a height of 1m in 1 second, then the energy would be- mxgxh, that is 10kg x -9.8m/s^2 (because we are lifting it against the gravity) x 1m = -98J / 1sec = -98W

So is it possible?

I am very suspicious about you. Looking at your questions I made a conclusion that you know much more than you are pretending that you know. Anyway, the answer to your question is YES. Power - it is a work done per unit time. Time is always positive, but the work could be negative (if done by the system). So it means that power could be negative. Privet from me!
