What happens to mutually contra-aimed projectiles, if fired simultaneously?

Two guns (let us say, cannons) are directly aimed at each other and fired at exactly the same moment. The cannonballs have identical air resistances, however, the initial velocities are not necessarily identical. What will happen to them?

1.The only acceleration that we have in this case - is acceleration due to gravity: g = 9.81 m/s2 . Its magnitude is not changing, its direction is always down. It is independent on time! 2. The problem must clarify what it means "directly aimed at each other", because the same range of the projectile can be reached at 2 different angles.
